Rain rain

Toddlers aren't taught to jump in puddles; they're naturally drawn to the joy of stepping down hard in the water and seeing it spring up unrestrained.  While Isaac and I were playing outside this morning it started to rain.

I was reminded of the couple I knew who first met while enjoying a rainstorm - she was dancing in the downpour, he ended up in the same place as she - he looked over and saw her carefree.

Instead of running inside right away to avoid the drenching, I showed Isaac how to hold his hands up high, turn his face into the sky, breathe in and enjoy the fresh, cool drops on his skin.
