As you may recall, our backyard has had its share of lilac issues. When we moved into our home a few years ago, they were 30 feet high and about five feet deep, on each side of the yard. Each year I chip away at them. Last fall, during my lilac battle, I uncovered a flower bed at the very back of our yard that had been overgrown with weeds, some peonies, and (of course) a lilac bush. We're changing it into a place for Marianna's veg and some zucchini and squash.
The peonies were poking up a bit. On Saturday, I moved them; now they're hanging out with some other peonies in the yard.
