Zoomin' Bloomin' Lilacs

We have two lilac shrubs in our yard. Unlike Mary Mary, I don't think ours have been there long enough to have taken over. Or perhaps they are of a more dwarf variety.

My friend A+ told me once that this was a himalayan lilac.  I don't know, but it smells just as beautiful and its blossoms are more of a light pink colour than other lilac trees I've met.

*This is a Monday feature, highlighting a plant, tree or shrub (non-edible) that stands out for us for any number of reasons!  Could be we've planted something new, see new buds on a tree or blossoms on a plant; that we've spotted something in a neighbour's yard or during a walk in the woods.  Link up on Mondays!*
